Thunder Bay – Monday

The plywood facade of this Bay Street building looks nice in the morning light.

Not sure when it will be finished.  Work has been going on for years now.  The front of the building was falling off.

Not sure what this means but someone took some time out of their extremely busy day to put it here.

Trash in context

We have some morning smoke today. Quite a bit of it actually.

Breathing in all that smoke can’t be good for you.

Trash in context.  Why leave it?  Its impossible to leave the park without passing a trash can.

We have a Coke bottle. Not empty.  People in this city living on the street have money.  They are sooo wealthy, they can afford yo throw perfectly good food and drink away.   I have never had that kind of wealth.

One of those moths. Think that is its face…or maybe not. Must be warm on that steel.

Another reusable shopping bag busy saving the planet.

I noticed this in the photo

The meaning of life?

Trash with a view

Yellow Warbler

Car watch 2026. Its still there.

Dead moths everywhere.  Their lifespan is not that long.  A week or two?

Can’t help photographing Daisies.

Out in the smoke

A better look at yesterday’s sandal.

Looks fancy Its got some chrome

-Just because. Nice shadows.

Trash in context. Twisted Tea is extremely popular with the city’s urban street drinkers. Type 2 diabetes does not seem to be something they are worried about.

Some flower photos

OK….yes. This again.  These colour sheets are applied with heat.  A blow torch type of thing.  As you can see, the sheets are burnt.  They are always burnt.

I am sure that the finished product is not supposed to be burnt.  I am sure that the manufacturer’s instructions do not recommend applying heat to the plastic to the point of burning the material.

I also would thing that the worker, when noticing the burning happening, would alter his/her/? technique to ensure that burning does not continue to happen on any successive application attempts.

The problem that I have is that this burning problem has been going on for years.  It has happened every time this material is used.

Does nobody in a supervisory or management capacity care?

This work is crap.  The taxpayers of this city deserve better.  Maybe the private sector needs to take a shot at this work.

Evening sun. Red from the smoke in the sky/
