Thunder Bay – Thursday

Not expecting anything this morning.  Looks grim.

A hint of colour along the horizon.

Starting to spread

Things are looking up.  Nothing spectacular but it is something.

Impressive.

Considering what I was facing first thing, this turned out not bad. Not bad at all.

Then it faded away

Used to be a timber wall here.  Marina Park work continues.

The chairs is what I find interesting

Looks like an old post card

Nothing happening out there

I really hate the slack-jawed knuckledraggers that do this.  There is a special place in hell for POSs that spray paint city infrastructure.

Bring back the stocks.  Public humiliation may be a deterrent.   Set one up in the heart of the city. The busiest area.   A sign explaining the crime that was committed.  Name and face publicized in local media.

Some tree swallows are still around

Work stopped on the ‘mistake-on-the-lake’  due to no-moe-money. And at the height of construction season to boot!

Its what happens when you start a giant project without sufficient funding in place.  Now its the waiting game…waiting for the taxpayer to bail the project out. A project that few taxpayers supported. No money, no work.

Patty….bring your cheque book.   Your political supporters are waiting.

The old Eaton’s building would have been cheaper, the building already existed, better location, more businesses will have benefited, public transit access, nearby parkade…Its a no brainer.  But nooooooo

Where is Sharon Godwin? The Project Lead?   Not a peep from her.

This is her project, is it not?

Came across a fork in the sidewalk. I did not take it.

Shopping cart trash can.  A new use for feral shopping carts.

A gift left by a thoughtful passerby.

Trash in context
