The problem with the city’s road infrastructure problem is the fact that the product does not last very long. Roads that have been repaired/reconstructed fall apart very quickly. You find streets that are only 10 years old require repairs. I believe the city is too lenient when it comes to accepting crappy work. The city will accept almost anything. Contractors know this. PLUS, I believe there is little to no testing required during construction. At least as far as I could see. Compaction is an example.
