The planet’s climate changes all the time. It has for millions if not billions of years in the past. It will continue to do so for millions and billions of years more in the future. Nobody understands why.
In fact, I do not believe its even possible for humans to create an extinction even. The only possibility I see is a nuclear war and even after that, there will be survivors.
The planet will recover no matter what we do to it. It has that ability. It may take a long time but it will.
The real dangers to humans are catastrophic events that we have no control over. These events cannot be predicted. They cannot be stopped.
The sun, asteroids, volcanoes are some examples.
Even then, after such an event there will be survivors. Not many. But we have been there before.
Sooo why worry about something that you cannot predict or control?
The best thing you can do is maybe prepare. Do some research.
Governments can look at trying to protect the electronics and the power grid from solar CMEs. At least look into it.
