But wait….we are spending billions trying to stop climate change.
You cannot stop climate change. Its a climate cycle that has taken place many times before. Think Ice Age.
Nobody talking about this radiation issue.. Why not?
Its much more serious that climate change. It can happen any time. The human population that survives will be living in a world very similar to stone age.
Earth’s magnetic field is weakening. Each year its strength is decreasing which in turn allows more of the sun’s radiation to bombard things on earth. This is not good. Especially for things that exist outside. People. Plants. Animals. Infrastructure. Its a long list.
As well, the magnetic field protects the planet from Coronal Mass Ejections. Solar flares. A massive solar CME could easily take out the entire electricity grid of a large section of the planet. Maybe all of it.
Just image a world without electricity for a start. What does not run on electricity? What manufacturing process does not require electricity? Transportation? Agriculture?
Maybe there is not as much money to be made trying to prepare. Maybe there is nothing that can be done.
All I know is that climate change is the very least of the planet’s worries. Magnetic pole reversal is another.
