Thunder Bay – Monday

Someone had a picnic.

Going to see some colour this morning.

We have some clouds that are in the right spot.

The early colour has shown itself. This is the colour that shows up 45 minutes to a  half hour before sunrise.  Many people miss this time. They show up for the sunrise but miss the best part.

Now we get some reds and pinks.

A closer look at the intense area.

Now as the sun gets closer, the colours fad a bit

The deep reds start to fade away

and there is the sun.  Quite a different sky than was there only 20 minutes before.

If you want to photograph sunrises, you need a tripod for the early stuff. The most intense colours.  Show up an hour before sunrise.  Stay for sunrise. Wait for a bit to see if anything else happens.

Blackflies….I have had manty dealings with blackflies.  Not sure  what is worse, blackflies or mosquitoes.  They both can drive you insane.

The ice resurfacing machine is being delivered to Marina Park fountain pond.  Its an Olympia. Not a Zamboni.  Olympia.

This beaver has got a nice branch.  It will come in handy this winter.  The animal was making very slow but steady progress hauling the branch to its house.

Some late sunrise colour.

I am sure there was a tent here. Looks like the tent is gone but everything else is still there. The person should have a yard sale or is it a camp sale?

Family size?  Who are they kidding?  That is an individual serving size today. It may have been family size back in the 50s and 60s.

Not a fan of Ketchup.  My understanding is its only a flavour found in Canada.
