Not a sunrise but its getting closer

Can trash be art?
Why not?
Imagine if Hajdu came through with $25 million and the ‘Mistake-On-The-Lake’ was finished. The my photos can be admired by everyone. Oooo and Ahhh
No trash cans required. Just leave the trash in a bag next to the building. Eventually, someone will collect it.
A very religious pen
Getting close to the time to flock off. Another month o so?
Morning sky photo. Hard to take when the sun is up. Its very bright.
The $75 million and counting ‘Mistake-On-The-Lake’ today. Its ears must be burning.
This could end up being the most expensive fiscal blunder ever for this city….next to the hospital that is. The hospital’s final cost ended up being over 100% higher than the original estimate. Hard to beat that.
Prince Arthur’s Landing ended up costing 50% more than the original estimate.
What I find amusing is blaming some of the cost overrun on “design changes to meet carbon-neutral requirements for federal funding”. This was a decision made to get some of that sweet. sweet Canadian taxpayer cash. Securing that sweet. sweet Canadian taxpayer cash should have offset the increased cost that occurred because of those design changes. Not much has been said about the fact that the carbon-neutral building is constructed completely out of steel, concrete and glass. All of these materials are created using a ‘lot of carbon producing manufacturing processes. Wood might have made more sense but maybe wood is not good for art gallery construction? Anyway, carbon-neutral designation is bullshit. Using the former Eaton’s Building will have been more carbon neutral than this building.
As I said before
I wonder had the art gallery been located in the old Eaton’s building instead of the waterfront, would that not have been better for the north core? The former Eaton’s building is a very large structure. There is a parkade in the downtown core a five minute walk away. Cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, all right there. Locating the art gallery here is better for the north core businesses. I still do not see the advantage of placing a major city attraction as far away from the downtown area as possible. Cruise-ship visitors will not have to ever leave Marina Park to visit the art gallery. The same goes for Delta hotel guests There is no easy public transit access to the waterfront location. The nearest bus stop (Mainline) to the waterfront site is at the corner of Cumberland and Pearl Street. The former Eaton’s building is serviced vy several bus routes ( Memorial, Hudson, John, Jumbo Gardens, County Park, Crosstown) – Post found here

Any recyclables in there? The answer is yes. Are they going to be recycled? My guess is no.
I like these tents.
They look nice in black and white. One day I might do a 100% black and white shoot.
Waverley Park. That on the left looks like a tent.
Looks just like this tent. I never see anyone here. Is there someone using this?
