Thunder Bay – Saturday

Maybe some day sunglasses will be required again this spring.  Not today.

Can’t walk a block in this city without seeing an empty beer case or hard ice tea box.  Not to mention the cans that were inside the cases and boxes. They are everywhere.

The mistake on the lake today.

MV Algoma Innovator and the MV Tufty

MV Algoma Innovator. There are only a couple of ships with the self unloader boom situated in the bow.  The sister ship to this one is the MV Algoma Intrepid and the MV Manitoulin.

Still hanging around. Guarding the wife who is with egg?

What its like out there.

Another reusable bag busy saving the planet.

Lip Balm. Can you drink it?  Can’t think any other reason I would see it in a Thunder Bay park.

Got dark. Looked like rain

Trash with a view. Never had ‘Ice’ style beer. Not sure what that is all about.

Red-breasted Merganser…male

Red-breasted Merganser…female

Common Loon

Started to brighten up. Felt a little warmer.

Ready for the 10 mile race on Monday

I see that the city’s Unhoused/Addicted/Mentally-Ill population has discovered the new benches in the downtown north core.  Looks like love at first drink.  Should be a beautiful relationship.

The Hoarding Queen of Waverley Park’s treasures. This is acceptable in the City of Thunder Bay.

Looks just great. Amazing what a single mentally-ill person can do when she tries. And nobody says ‘no. you can’t do that’.  Why? Because her feelings will be hurt and you can’t do that.

Nope. This is the future of this city.  Expect more of this. Much more. Because nobody says ‘No’.

I feel sorry for the young people still living here.

Wait for the rats. They will come.

Thought this was a group of tent caterpillars.  It was not.

Hillcrest Sunken Gardens has a couple of stray tulips popping up.

The view from the park.
