Local company get $340 thousand to expand hangar

I remember when companies were the ones that borrowed money to expand their businesses.  They paid interest on the loans. Usually to a bank.

Now, for some reason, Governments borrow the money  that businesses require to expand their businesses. Governments then GIVE that money to the businesses. Governments, taxpayers actually, then  pay interest on that money.  When did that become a thing?

The money is taken from me at the point of a gun by the senior levels of Government  and just given away?  To private companies?  Why?

Federal, Provincial and Municipal. Matters not. They all do it and THAT is wrong.
