Thunder Bay – Friday

Another clear sky morning.  Once again, I am going to concentrate on the lighthouse as there is little else to photograph down here at sunrise today.

Some geese get into the shot.

Nice coloured sky

Trying to maneuver myself into position to get the sun rising behind the lighthouse

Now its just a waiting game

OK. Good. This is where you want to be when the sun breaches the horizon.  The sun moves up and over.  So if you want to a photo of the sun directly behind the lighthouse, you need to allow for that movement.

I moved around to different photos of the sun at different positions but still behind the lighthouse.

There was some colour in the few clouds that eventually showed up

This is what cruiseship passengers see when the ship comes into port.

The sun has a halo around it.

and then there was this.  A coyote wandering through Marina Park. Not a care in the world.

Trash in context

A photo of the granite that is being installed in the north core

Another example of why trash cans with lids should be mandatory

Trash in context.  Looks like something from the Salvation Army food truck.  Does not look like the person who got this for free did not appreciate it.  Not only did the person not eat it, the person also left the trash laying around. Ungrateful POS.

Trash in context. Who buys a bottle of Ginger Ale ?  Was it being used to mix with something?
