Another business suffering a break-in, Broken windows. At some point in the not-to-distant future, this city will have no businesses with windows. Fake windows will be painted onto plywood. My prediction.
These things are now up on the road leading into the Pool 6 site. The idea is to separate pedestrians from traffic. Boat pedestrians. Not locals.
Perfectly clear sky this morning.
Full moon. April’s full moon is called the Pink Moon.
Why is it called the Pink Moon?
The Old Farmers’ Almanac, which first began publishing the names for the full moons in the 1930s, states that some eastern Native American tribes refer to the full Moon in April as the “Pink Moon” because the name originates from the moon’s correspondence with early springtime wildflowers.
The Maine Farmers’ Almanac is credited with saying the Pink Moon gets its name from herb moss pink, native Eastern U.S., plant that blooms in early spring.
Here comes the sun

Cleaning up the left overs from last year’s McVicar. Creek encampments. Its important that the area is spotless so that this year’s campers can start messing the place up from scratch. Personally, I think the City of Thunder Bay should ban encampments of public land. Tolerating this behviour only encourages it. Where are these “unhoused” people in the winter? They seem to be able to find a place when necessary.
Trash in context.
McVicar Creek Steelhead are starting their spring run.
