Thunder Bay – Saturday

Another clear morning sky.  Onshore wind is cold.

Mandatory lighthouse photo, Blues and orange.  A power combination.  Complimentary colours.

More window reflections

The sun starts to make its presence known behind the grain elevators.  As it gets closer to appearing, it moves further to the right.  I suspect that at the start of summer, the longest day, it will rise behind the elevators. Of course, that depends where you are standing.

Sky6 looks like its on fire.

Getting close

We have sunrise

And so the day begins

The raven was making a strange sound. Not one I ever heard a raven make. It sounded like it was trying to imitate a goose.

MV CSL Laurentien.  It used to be the MV Louis R. Desmarais.  It was built in 1977.

Mallard duck catching a few winks.

Trash with a view.  Taking a shot at product photography except I photograph the stuff where I find it.  I do not move any of the objects I photograph. All are exactly as I find them.

Sometimes it looks like people are leaving their trash in locations for me to photograph.

I believe that ever since beer etc has been sold in corner stores, there has bee an increase in empty cans laying around the city. Especially the downtown core.

Looks like the McVicar Capers Association is going to have a campfire this morning.

Left here just in case.

More trash

Fun with shadows

Black and white?

Fine art.

Looks classy in black and white.  Almost like I know what I am doing.

This is called ‘street photography’.   I like taking these kind of photos but there are only so many areas in Thunder Bay to look.  I need to head to the south core sometime.  Maybe Westfort.

Big city look.

I photographed this several years back.  Its a nice green.  Looks good in the early morning light.
