Thunder Bay – Wednesday

Overcast morning. Not expecting any sunrise this morning. At least its not snowing or raining.  Temp is pleasant.

The view out there.

Mandatory lighthouse photo

Just for fun.

This bit of colour appeared out of nowhere. Its where the sun would appear if there were no clouds.  Still, its nice.

It was a small area

It lasted for maybe 10 minutes and then it faded away.

The sun never did make an appearance.

MV Labrador still at anchor.

A touch of colour in the northeastern sky…at least I think that is the direction.

Low lying fog out there.

Working on my blurry background photos.   Isolates the subject.

There is a 1950s French film Wages of Fear. The film centres on a group of four down-on-their-luck European men who are hired by an American oil company to drive two trucks, loaded with nitroglycerin needed to extinguish an oil well fire, over mountain dirt roads.

Lots of suspense.  Any of the trucks could explode at anytime.   Definitely worth a watch.

There is a 1970s American version titled Sorcerer.

Imagine driving a truck loaded with nitroglycerin down the road to Pool 6. In fact, imagine driving it anywhere in the city right now.

A close-up of the ore dock demolition so far.

Slow going.

There are a lot of these here now.  And noisy….They are giving the gulls a run for their money when it comes to which is the noisiest bird in Marina Park. The crows are a distant third.

Ever feel like this?

Lots of graffiti around.

I think it was a skateboard.

I

Northern Lights glow. I have never seen Frozen. My kids predated that movie.

Definitely from someone with an ample bosom or someone who wants to look like they have an ample  bosom.

I think they have a pill now that can fix that.

Why not finish it?   I di not understand paying money for a product and then not consuming the entire product.

Another reusable shopping bag busy saving the planet.

Tried replacing the sky…I watched a video and followed the instructions. Photoshop…

before

I am sure an expert can tell its a fake sky but I think after a while I could get better at it.

It only works under the right conditions.   Today, you really can’t tell if the photo you see is 100% original or if there is a lot of photoshop done to it.

It does make a bland photo more interesting.  I think Ansel Adams said that you don’t take a photo, you make it.  He is considered one of the greatest photographers ever,  I wonder what he would have done if Photoshop existed in his time?
