Overcast but clearing. Hopefully, the sky will clear up after I get to the waterfront.

There are some clear areas but most of the sky is still covered in clouds. Its cold as well.

The clearing sky is headed to the horizon but it won’t arrive in time.

Buick hubcap. Hubcaps are a lot smaller than they used to be.
I will soon abandon sunrise photography and concentrate on other subjects. Probably until the fall. The sun is rising to the left of the lighthouse. I like the sun rising between the lighthouse and the foot of the giant.
In the fall, maybe late October, the sun will be rising back in that area PLUS there will be open water. That will produce great reflections. Keep that in mind.

This kind of photography is much more fun but it requires a sunny day.
