Thunder Bay – Friday

The grader had passed by recently.  Cleared everything on the street.  Trash always finds a way.

This traffic island on Marina Park Drive is  Its part of a crosswalk that allows people to walk from one side of the street to the other.  People can use it to access the park’s rec trails.

Why is it not maintained during the winter?  Why go to all the trouble to construct it and not use it all year?  Why not clear the snow from the sidewalk?

Another overcast morning.

To be honest, in the early morning, when its overcast and the ground is covered with snow, the waterfront is black and white.

Limited photo opportunities in the park at this time of the day

Looks good in black and white.

Tried landscape

Nothing to see out there

Free furniture for the taking.

There may be cooties.  I don’t know if the cold temps kill cooties.

Pedestrians are the bottom of the transportation hierarchy.  Cars are on top.   Streets are cleared of snow.  Sidewalks are then cleared of snow.  Then street plows come along again and fling snow all over the recently-cleared sidewalks.

The beauty of on-street parking.  Two lane streets become one lane streets.
