The one think that I do know about AI is that it does not buy stuff. It does not need food, clothing, cars, housing, restaurants, cafes, movies….no consumer products at all.
AI does not pay taxes, fees, require licensing, social programs, NGOs….any government services at all.
Sooo, what are the millions of soon-to-be unemployed and I assume ‘unhoused/addicted/mentally-ill’ people going to do? Who will support them financially…forever?
Governments will have no money. The people who have money will not care about the ‘unhoused/addicted/mentally-ill’ rabble living in the streets.
Think about it. People are in school right now paying tens of thousands of dollars for an education that will not have a job waiting after graduation.
What will happen to colleges and universities? Who will attend?
This needs to be addressed by our elected and non-elected residents of all levels of government….NOW.
There needs to be a plan.
