Still trying to take a decent shot of these.
This is what we are up against this morning. We will see a sunrise. Clouds are limited sooo there won’t be a dazzling display today. Still, it is better than yesterday.
I think I am getting closer to what it really looks like out there. Colours are more accurate. Its all about exposure time.
Got some reds shoei9ng up
The sun is rising about lower mid giant right now.
and there it is
and so the day begins
Looks like its a concrete base. I did not see any electrics so I do not think its a light post. Maybe its a new piece of public art?
I noticed these raised mounds spaced regularly along the south side of Pier 2.. I wonder what they are?
The closing up of the ‘mistake-on-the-lake’ continues.
Hooded Mergansers.
It would be fitting to have a giant Tim’s cup as a piece of public art in Marina Park. There are few things (shopping carts maybe) more symbolic of Thunder Bay that discarded Tim’s cups. They are everywhere.
Cumberland Street has one layer of asphalt down. I expect it to be open to traffic maybe even this weekend. Maybe even tomorrow.
I think that these were a good idea. I also think that, at this time of year, we should post giant photos of all the people and companies that made a lot of money from the war. There were banks dealing with both sides. Large corporations had ties to both sides. Many millionaires were made by the world wars.
I think that we need to shine a light on those people. The people who did not put their lives in danger but did make money from the sacrifice of the soldiers and the soldiers families.
Water bottle photo.
