Start out the morning with a photo of trash. The leaves make a nice addition.
Mostly clear sky. Frost. Not much wind. Nothing special expected as far as sunrises go today. Still, we will see the sun rise.
The usual suspects
Not enough clouds to put on a good show.
Water surface also was not very calm. Reflections will be poor.
Ship coming into Thunder Bay. MV Algoma Niagara.
Some colour is starting to show up where the sun is going to make its appearance.
As you can see, the colour is limited to a small section of clouds
Colour starting to spread some.
The sun shows up. In a couple of weeks, the sun will be rising over the giant. That might make for a more balanced sunrise. There is a lot to look forward to yet.
Thought I might try some different framing
Just for fun.

MV Algoma Niagara coming into port
The MV Federal Kivalina is at Keefer Terminal
The City of Thunder Bay brought in one of its ‘cherry picker’ buckets to remove what’s left of the Canadian flag at the Temple Reef Sailing club at the end of Pier 1. The ropes that the flag were attached to had wrapped themselves into a mess.
This was the only way that the rag that used to be a Canadian flag could be removed. Flasgs are supposed to be burned not thrown in the trash.
I’m guessing that this rag that was once a Canadian flag was not burned. I am sure it ended up in the trash.
Some colour still left here and there.
An otter
A meeting of the minds.
Yes, there was frost this morning
Smell the glove
More colour
Not sure what this means. Maybe the person is upgrading their wardrobe. More free clothes is on the way.
Cumberland Street has a long way to go before it gets paved. Synergy North is still working on pole replacement. This work should have been done last year. Replacing poles while road construction is going on is not the most efficient method of doing things.
This city is extremely bad at planning road construction work. The contracts are always working into November. You do not want to be paving in November.
