Thunder Bay – Thursday

Trash in context

City lights reflecting o0ff of the clouds

Got down here before sunrise.

Going to see the sun today. Nice temp. Mosquitoes still around.

Where the sun is going to show up

There it is

Parts of the James Whalen down at the Transportation Museum site. How much of this is original?   It was built in 1905.  That makes it over 120 years old.

Is anything here 120 years old?

Why did the City of Thunder Bay would not give the Transportation Museum the entire tug  years ago?  I still do not understand. $2 million spent and this is all there is?

The sun

Looks like it was payday for some people.  An empty 750 ml bottle of Royal Reserve Whiskey.  Several water bottle.  Popeyes Fried Chicken. Twisted Tea.  Root beer.  Pepsi.  Quite a party.

There is a segment of the city’s population that just does not care. They have zero stake in the success of this community.  Littering and vandalism. Breaking things and defacing public and private buildings. Windows get smashed.

They have no job.  They do not want a job.  Life is good for them just the way it is, They obviously have cash.  They can buy liquor and beer and takeout food.  They steal from stores. They get a lot of things for free. Clothing, for sure.  Likely accommodation is free.

If these people are caught, nothing will happen to them.   Nothing at all.

So why should I care?  I don’t see the point.  I think people are getting tired of caring.

One of the partiers has dropped his wallet.  City crews picked it up.

Water bottle photo.  Cigarette also.

Discarded sock and

discarded clothing and

discarded show.  Was the person wearing any clothes when they left the park?

Fog rolling in.

Some roses are still blooming.
