Thunder Bay – Thursday – Last Full Day Of Spring

Loneliest goose on the waterfront.

Many wildflowers are now blooming. Daisies are popping up all over.

Geese are loosing flight  feathers.  It happens every year.  For a period of the summer, the geese cannot fly.

Purple Vetch

Lots of this around right now.

When the sunlight hits the leaves from behind, you get this.

MV Frontenac. This is one of the last few ships on the Great Lakes with the bridge located at the bow.  Bridge and deck crew accommodations were located there. This was a very common design back in the day but that has now changed. Today, ships have the bridge, engine room and crew accommodations all situated on the stern section.

Double-crested Cormorant.  I take a lot of photos of these as there are lots of them and I have to photograph something.

Water bottle photo. This portable toilet was standing upright unlike another located in Marina Park.  Some of the city’s ever-growing population of POSs decided that a portable toilet should be laying on its side.  Hard to use that way.

Trash in context

Dandelions are best photographed with an insect climbing around on them.

Bleeding Hearts.

Water bottle photo.  Free towels for the taking.
