Thunder Bay – Sunday

A gray day with, yes, snow flurries. falling out of the sky.

Why do I like to take pictures of trash? Who knows?  Lots of photo opportunities in Thunder Bay, that is for sure.  Its good practice.

Streets are very empty.

Crows were interested in this. They have not yet penetrated the bag.  They will continue try though. Crows are not quitters.

Still hanging around the Pool 6 pond.  I did see a second one today so maybe the wife is out and about?

Busy sprucing up. Hard to get at those face feathers.

Trash in context. Colour on a grey day.

Trash with a view.

Another piece of trash with a view,

At least its dry. What is that stream that originated from the bag? Urine?

A male American Redstart Warbler.  Not a great photo as those birds are fast and very jumpy.  I have never seen one before. Hope to get a better photo one day.

Are these being handed out to the city’s burgeoning ‘unhoused/addicted/mentally-ill population?  It might seem like a good idea at first but the drink does contain 20 grams of sugar.  Only 11 grams of fat, 1 gram of which is saturated fat.

It does contain a lot of vitamins and minerals.  which is good.  Leave out the sugar and increase the fat.  But then it would not taste as good.  It needs to taste like a milkshake in order to get people to drink it.  The sugar is completely unnecessary.

Trash in context. Discarded Ensure container.

Another reusable shopping bag busy saving the planet.

Water bottle photo

Discarded food item.

More discarded foo. Half a loaf of  white bread.  Might as well a few spoonful of sugar instead. Your body does not see the difference.
