The one thing about Thunder Bay is that the distance that someone is willing to walk to deposit trash into a trash can is not very far. 15 – 20 metres? Too far. Just drop the trash onto the ground. Someone will pick it up later.
Was a drinking fountain in Hillcrest Park back when I was a kid. Yes, there were public drinking fountains in city parks. Used to be one in Marina Park as well. Could never have one now. The city’s POSs would smash them immediately after installation. Can’t have anything like that anymore. Now plastic water bottles are handed out even though plastic is being identified as a possible health risk to humans.
