Our high salaried residents of City Hall need to come up with a better design for sidewalks to accommodate snow clearing operations. Leaving that sliver of a snow wall in between the street and the sidewalk is beyond stupid. Street plows push the snow onto the sidewalks. Sidewalk plows push the snow back toward the street. At some point, there is no room left for snow storage in that small space between the sidewalk and the street. What happens is that the sidewalk becomes narrower and narrower.
A design where the sidewalk is located directly next to the street allows the street plow to clear both street and sidewalk at the same time.. Saves time and money.
