This shows you what is wrong with our electoral system. The Liberals got 50% more votes than the NDP but ended up with just over half of the seats.
Why vote? Chances are your vote is not going to count.
We need to move to a Proportional Representation System of electing our representatives provincially and federally. At the very least, a Ranked Voting System. The First Past the Post does not produce a government that represents the voters.
Sadly, the Conservatives and Liberals will never agree to change the system because they want a chance at a majority government.
That will probably never happen under a Proportional Representation Government. A coalition government will be the result most of the time.
