Just how many unhoused/addicts/mentally-ill people are there? What is the number. How much are we spending per unhoused/addict/mentally-ill person? Does anyone know?
Taxpayers are pumping tens of millions of dollars supporting how many people? This matters. Just throwing money at a problem is what governments do but is that what this problem needs? I do not believe so.
Once again I must ask, what does ‘affordable’ mean when discussing housing? Is rent geared to income? If you have no income, then rent is free? Why then would anyone give up free rent by working? Its sending the wrong message.
Only fools work. We need to reward the people who work not the ones who do not.
