Turns out that the Mazda 2 pumps less CO2 into the atmosphere than the Tesla. A vehicle that is one third of the price of the Tesla. A vehicle that does not require the spending of hundreds of billions of tax dollars to upgrade the electricity grid. Gasoline stations already exist.
Governments should be encouraging the construction of small, inexpensive, well built, fuel efficient vehicles. People will buy them.
