Thunder Bay – Saturday – World Human Spirit Day

Early morning at the former Pool 6 office.  Normally, there is nobody there on there weekend.  Not this Saturday.  Snow Days festivities take place on Sunday and Monday. Setup is today.  Lots to do.

Another mostly overcast morning.  A little colour on the horizon but not much.

Fingers crossed that it will get better. This is nice though.

Sigh… snow flurries moving in.

Nothing going to happen this morning,

What’s in the bag?  Who knows?

A bit of blue sky

The sun trying to break through the clouds

The festival area has been cleared of snow.  People starting to setup stuff.  No snow sculptures this year.   Makes my life much easier. Normally, I take photographs of the sculptures until they are all melted.

I see that the broken pane on the end was finally been replaced.  The plywood has been removed.  Now, the plywood has been moved to the next broken glass section.  How long will this plywood be there?  Could be months.

Its like wak-a-mole. You replace on glass section only for some members of the city’s growing POS population to smash another.

Lots of glass to break.  Since there is little chance of getting caught and no punishment even if they were caught, I don’t see this vandalism ever coming to an end.    This city is a shithole.

Trash in context.  I see Tim’s cups all over.  All are nowhere near a Tim’s.  These cups are brought a long way.  Lots of coffee places in the downtown  core area.   Their coffee is waaaay better than that swill you get at Tim’s.

Smell the glove.

Trash in context

Trash in context,  Yes, there is a lot of trash.   As the snow melts, more and more is turning up.

Water bottle photo. Lots of these.

Discarded food item.  I thought it was vomit at first  but now I don’t think that is the case.

Trash in context.  Why is there not a deposit on these cans?

The trash at a bus stop on Algoma Street.  You don’t want a bus stop anywhere near your property.

Trash in context?   Looks like it might have been a plastic bottle at one time.  Now it looks like a fossil from The Paleozoic Era.
