Thunder Bay – Friday – International Winter Bike To Work Day

Water bottle photo

Had to wait for a train soo I took a couple of shots

Morning sky.

The ice, as it gets thinner starts to have patterns

Standing water on the ice reflecting the light

Potholes.  They form almost perfectly round.  I am sure there is science as to why but I do not know what it is.

Anyway, the road into the Pool 6 office looks like the surface of the moon.

The site of the future mistake on the lake, net carbon neutral, centrally located waterfront art gallery. Pretty sure that the art gallery people do not know the meaning of the word “centrally”.  This location is far from central to anywhere in the city.

I like it when the ice looks like this.  It usually doesn’t happen for another for to six weeks but I ain’t complaining.

Not safe for walking on although I am sure there will be people who do.

Getting ready for the Snow Days weekend.  The Festival area is where the snow sculptures are normally located.  Are they still going have them?    Sculpting will start next week.  I will keep you informed as to the progress.

Trash in context.  Lots of trash is appearing as the snow disappears.   On a grey day, trash is the only colour there is.
