Yup. I have two millennials that are living the WEF’s “You Will Own Nothing And Be Happy” lifestyle. At least the not owning anything part. The happiness part? Not so much.
What choice do they have? None.
Affordable housing? Who benefits from high house prices? Cities do. Property taxes make up a huge portion of city’s source of cash.
Who benefits from house prices outrageously increasing in value year after year? Cities do. Allows annual budget increases without a major increase in the tax rates.
How do you keep house prices going up every year? Keep the inventory low. Demand high.
How do you keep demand high? Bring in hundreds of thousands of immigrants every year.
How do you solve the problem? You can’t.
