Thunder Bay – Saturday – Last Day Of September

Out early even with an overcast sky.  You just never what the sunrise might look like.  So photographers go down to the water just in case. Its FOMO.

Take a couple of photos on the way down.

It was an odd sky with the red sky showing up in the northeast instead of the east.

Water was very calm. Glass like.

Sooo this was the morning sky.

The reflection in the water creates a special look.

I kind of like the look.

A new public art piece down at Pool 6.  Powerful.  Strong and emotional. Brings tears to my eyes.  I will be thinking about this for a long time.  This piece should be placed in front of the new “Net Carbon Neutral” art gallery.

Another public art piece at Pool 6.  Its the placement of the tire that makes the piece.  My understanding is that the artist spent days moving the tire all around until he/she/?  decided on this location.  As you can see, it was worth all of that effort. Perfection.  It doesn’t get much better than this.

Although you might think this is a public art piece, its actually one of several stacks of steel that is going to become part of the “Net Carbon Neutral” art gallery.  Steel is as, you know, carbon neutral.  An extremely green product.  Little to no fossil energy is used to make steel and deliver it to the work site.

Kelly’s finest rotgut wine is on the scene. I would have thought I would see more vomit around this location but we are dealing with hardened experienced drinkers.  Once down, this stuff ain’t coming back to easily.

Looks nice.

Squirrel!

Not sure.  It looks like a Goldeneye. Female or male in its summer outfit?

Going in for another helping.

The outrigger people are out for a paddle.

The nay is out there. With budget cuts and long delays, Inflatables might be replacing our frigates.  Works for the Somali pirates.

Throw a couple of rifles on there and you have a formable naval weapon.

Tri-hull out for a sail.

Blood. Lots of blood.

Court Street construction so far
