Grain car photo ops have returned
Pretty sure that this is not the first time this has happened to this catch basin. This section of Water Street, between Cumberland and Bay Street intersections, has more patches than any other street in the city. It seems that every year, work crews are digging up a chunk for some reason or another.
Squirrel! Got a peanut from someone. Not me. I don’t feed squirrels. They are a nuisance and can cause a lot of damage..
The mistake on the lake site. I wonder if these three tanks have anything to do with the “net zero” construction. Gather rain water? The thing is that the art gallery is right on the shoreline. I don’t expect the contractor has to dig too far down before he/she/? strikes water. There is no need to salvage rain water. Just dig a hole in the ground, stick a hose into it…voila!…all the water you need. I could be wrong. I will keep an eye on these things to see where they go.
Goldeyes. You can see where the name came from.
Another piece of public art. This pile of broken/rotten railway ties represents the destruction of the Indigenous culture as the railways worked their ways west. Brings tears to my eyes.
This public art’s time is winding down. I will miss it.
Common Loon
Lots of pussy willows out now.
Concrete being poured at the Pool 6 site. Concrete pads, three that I can see. Will the work be completed before the first cruise ship shows up?
Not much happening out there this morning.
Still some ice floating around.
