Work continues at the Pool 6 site. Think about this…Once Science North finishes their planning and gets funding for their proposed build on the same ground that is now under construction, much of the work currently being done will be torn up again.
Another question I have is just how are people that have no cars expected to get to this site? The nearest bus stop is at the corner of Pearl and Cumberland Street. From that spot, its quite the hike to get to the Pool 6 site. Rain in summer and cold in the winter will not make it a fun walk. The Water Street Transit Terminal is even further away.
This is an issue that I had with the art gallery being built on the waterfront. The Science Centre would be a longer walk.
Is there going to be bus service? A shuttle bus? Marina Park during inclement weather is not a pleasant place to be. For some reason, public transit access is not being considered for any construction at the south end of the park.
