Thunder Bay – Monday

Fairly clear morning.

A lot of lights over there.

The sun has made its appearance

and so the day has begun

One thing about this area. Back when Marina Park was undergoing major construction it was found that a pumping station had to be built. It was not part of the original plan and was not part of the Environmental Assessment.  The whole area where the pumping station was going to be built was contaminated. There was no plan as to how to deal with the contaminated material that will need to excavated. In the end, the excavated material was placed nearby.  If my recollections are correct, that nearby location is very close to where Jonestown has been set up. As if anyone cares about that.

Warm weather has induced the gulls to begin nesting on the roofs of buildings in the north core.  Do the gulls know its only mid-February?  I suspect they will find out one day.

Festival area. Grass is starting to show up . Its supposed to cool of later this week.  I hope its enough to allow for a good snow sculpture competition.

Time to photograph some ice patterns.

Some trash in context photos
