Trash and recycled day. Ever wonder just how much of that stuff you stick into the blue bag actually gets recycled? I read reports that as far as plastic is concerned, the amount recycled is extremely small. Less than 5%.

Some of those stupid snow windrows between the street and sidewalk
Street design needs to change to account for this. Street plows throw the snow onto the sidewalk. Sidewalk now impassable for pedestrians. Sidewalk plows come along later, sometimes much later, and throw it back towards the street on top of the windrow. Sound pretty stupid to me.
