Algoma Street is closed to traffic due to repair of water valve that is leaking water out onto the street as mentioned in yesterday’s posting. This section of Algoma Street is closed to traffic at least once a year for repairs to something. The contractor that did the work of replacing the sewer and water lines a few years ago might be suspect here. It does not matter because, no matter how crappy the end product is, local contractors will always get contracts. I don’t know what a contractor would have to do to get banned from bidding on city contracts. Kill someone?
