What if the mice used by labs for testing the efficacy of drugs and other medical treatments have evolved due to selective breeding protocols. In other words, all the mice are produced by a few breeders. If the mice’s physiology is no longer what we believe it is, then any drug or medical treatment result will be skewed. The resulting assumption will be flawed. What does that mean? Who knows? It does not sound like a good thing though.
Is the drug safe for humans? Maybe, maybe not. THAT is the problem.
