Thunder Bay – Friday

Early morning view of the Big Dig at the former site of the Finnish Labour Temple.

As you can see, three hours later, most of the water has been pumped out.

The remove and replace the front of the building is still going on. The contractor has to remove all of the rotten wood before reconstruction can begin.

The morning sky

A few items to check out when visiting the Lakehead Transportation Museum site.  Bonus: great view of the giant cruise ship when its in port.

Has the City of Thunder Bay taken the term Band-Aid solutions a bit too seriously?

This stop sign is for ????? Its located at the intersection of the former Pool 6 road and the new Pool 6 road in Marina Park.

As you can see, there is no reason for that sign to be there.   Yet there it is. Too lazy to remove it?

The City of Thunder Bay attached a sign onto the stop sign which directs pedestrians to use the former Pool 6 road.  The problem is that the sidewalk is on the other side of the street.  Its also far enough off to the side that nobody even knows the sign is there.  I believe this to be a  fail.

Eventually, the work taking place on the former Pool 6 elevator site will have a trail around the shoreline.  One day, people will be able to walk past those trees.  Imagine that.  Only took 22 years.

Looks to be full.

I think, as far as flowers go, Dandelions are quite beautiful.  Maybe not on your lawn though.

Either a mask or a hammock for a squirrel
