Thunder Bay – Tuesday

Its that time of year where I must unleash my rant about on-street parkers.  Why do the owners of these vehicles not have to clear the snow from around their vehicles?

Either the owner of the vehicle or the landlord of the apartment building the people live in.

Why do these people get a free ride?  The vehicles make snow-clearing operations nearly impossible.

Streets end up having one drivable lane.  Graders have to return several times to try and clear the streets.  People with driveways are fools.  Why not just park on the street…for free?  No snow shoveling ever required.

On-street parking, if the city is going to allow it, needs to cost something.  Permits.  Maybe $500 per year?  At least a dollar a day.  Something like that.

You have to be desperate to park tour butt on this.
